Join the U.S. Green Building Council - Illinois Chapter's Rockford Branch for Don’t Drink the Water – Our Most Valuable Resource and Building Tour of LEED Silver Certified Rock River Water Reclamation Administrative Building.

Enjoy a building tour of the award-winning Rock River Water Reclamation Administrative Building.  Prior to the tour, Mike Dudek, USGBC-Illinois Board Member and Branch Chair will present Don't Drink the Water-Our Most Valuable Resource.

Mike will share examples of other regions efforts to bring fresh water to their communities. We reside in an area located near the third largest Great Lakes and source of the best quality water in the nation, Lake Michigan. Because of our locality, we sometimes forget how valuable this resource is and the need to realize water is not an unlimited resource.  The program will also identify water savings strategies as they relate to LEED credit V3 and discuss the new water credits of LEED V4.
