LEED 263: Solutions to Challenging Credits: Site Issues
Join experts from USGBC as well as experienced practitioners to explore solutions to some of the most potentially tricky credits in LEED. The first session of this two-part series explores challenging credits related to the project site. We’ll clarify credit requirements and explore best practices for credits relating to habitat preservation, light pollution reduction, stormwater management and water efficient landscaping.            

This session is registered for 1.5 General (not LEED-Specific) GBCI hours as well as 1.5 AIA LU hours.

Session Objectives:

  • Avoid common pitfalls for challenging site related credits
  • Clarify challenging requirements to protect or restore habitat in site development
  • Recognize best practices to meet and document complex requirements for reducing light pollution
  • Identify strategies for quantity and quality control of stormwater management
  • Calculate data to document requirements to reduce resources for landscape irrigation
  • Identify documentation tips for efficient LEED review process
