The Lost Valley Visitors Center is a Certified LEED Gold building located in the McHenry County Conservation District's beautiful Glacial Park.  The Center is perched on a glacial moraine overlooking the park’s 3,200 acres of rolling prairie, wetlands, delta kames, oak savanna and the tranquil Nippersink Creek. The Park is located approximately 30 miles northwest of Chicago in Ringwood, Illinois and is one of the Chicago regions most magnificent natural areas.

The Center showcases the adaptive reuse of an existing building, sustainable site development, stormwater best management practices, energy efficiency, natural lighting and many other technologies that emphasize the design and construction of high performance sustainable building. This event will feature a guided tour and presentation of the LEED Gold facility  by  the buildings architect and construction manager.

Come out to explore a fantastic green building and discover some of the natural wonders that are located close to Chicago.
