The Sessions Include:

Session 2 - June 12  Best of Greenbuild 2012: A Study of Turning Existing Buildings Into Smart Buildings
In this Best of Greenbuild 2012 webinar session, experts from Liberty Property Trust and Exp US Services discuss a ten-building research and development pilot project poised to create a business case for demand response technology in multi-tenant commercial office buildings. The panel describes components of the pilot, focusing on lighting and HVAC upgrades, and highlights the many lessons learned along the way. Walk away from this session with an understanding of how a demand response approach can save energy and reduce costs; how and when to engage tenants in the process; and what challenges and solutions you can anticipate for your own projects. Presenters: Frederick Dougherty, Liberty Property Trust; Christopher Larry, exp US services Inc. Register for this webinar on this page (in the left column.)

Session 3 - June 19 Best of Greenbuild 2012: Hygrothermal Analysis for High-Performance Enclosures
As demand for zero energy buildings drives the need for better insulated and air-tight enclosures, moisture and hygrothermal performance become increasingly important considerations in the design process. In this Best of Greenbuild 2012 webinar session, learn from hygrothermal experts about the physics of heat and moisture transfer, the roles of air barriers and vapor control systems, and technical application of cutting-edge tools for performing combined energy modeling and hygrothermal analysis. Use your new knowledge to improve building durability, prevent mold growth, and protect indoor air quality. Presenters: Florian Antretter, Fraunhofer, IBP; Prudence Ferreira, Integral Impact Inc.; Achilles Karagiosis, Owens Corning  Register for this webinar here.

Session 4 - June 26  Best of Greenbuild 2012: LED Lamps: Can we kiss halogen and fluorescent good-bye?
A tsunami of LEDs with impressive performance claims is flooding the lighting market. LEDs are often a greener lighting option, but selecting the best and avoiding the worst can be tricky. During this Best of Greenbuild 2012 webinar, lighting experts from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory walk through how to evaluate LED products against other lighting options, considering such features as lumens-per-watt, color, distribution, glare control, controllability, upgradability, and payback. Walk away armed with knowledge and tools to determine if LED lighting is appropriate for your projects, and to specify the best LED products for your specific project goals.
Presenters: Naomi Miller and Eric Richman, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Register for this webinar here.
