Additionally, we recently announced the 2013 Green Apple Day of Service for 2013! The National USGBC’s Center for Green Schools initiated the Green Apple Day of Service on September 29, 2012.  They invited schools to identify green projects, and share their successes on the My Green Apple Website.  At the state level, the USGBC-Illinois Chapter decided to take this day of service one step further.  In addition to schools, we invite our chapter members- professionals from the green building industry- to serve as mentors for each school. This local effort has a different process than the national Green Apple Day of Service; but both events share similar goals.  We are NOW recruiting schools, mentors, volunteers and sponsors!  The due date for sign-up is 5/1/13.  Contact Cortney Adams for more information or visit this webpage.

For event sponsorship opportunities, please contact Pam Jackson at 312-245-8300 ext.204 or pjackson@usgbc-illinois.org
