Join the U.S. Green Building Council - Illinois Chapter's Rockford Branch for Using ENERGY STAR Guidelines and Resources for Better Energy Management Plans.

This event has been approved for 1.5 GBCI CE hours.

The evening will start with a tour of ComEd's new training facility.  Built as part of the Energy Infrastructure Modernization Act (EIMA), or the "Smart Grid bill", the new facility demonstrates ComEd’s commitment to train the next generation of workers and better service customers with a fully modernized electric grid.

The ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager performance rating tool is an important part of EAc1, Optimize Energy Efficiency Performance in LEED Existing Buildings v2009.  But ENERGY STAR also offers other useful tools and methods to achieve enhanced energy efficiency and superior energy management.

This program will review the use and application of Portfolio Manager and then explore other ENERGY STAR resources and guidelines for energy management.
