Session Descriptions:

Session 1 - 10/25  - LEED 259: Best of Greenbuild: Beyond LEED
In 2010, BNIM and LEED staff presented a compelling vision for a set of outcomes, measures, and metrics needed to define and guide regenerative design. In 2011, we can begin to realize this vision by leveraging a set of existing and emerging tools, including the BNIM framework, the LEED 2012 weighting and point allocation system, the Green Building Information Gateway, and the next generation VGIQ occupant experience platform.  This session provides preliminary concepts for integration and extension of these components in the development and demonstration of a LEED Regenerative Toolbox.

Session 2 - 11/1 -  LEED 259: Best of Greenbuild: LEED Performance and Recertification
This session will address the successes and improvements in BPP, the new Recertification program, and how they interact. USGBC is in the process of streamlining the processes and metrics that support ongoing performance tracking, reporting and verification. Using the processes established in the Building Performance Partnership (BPP) and changes to the next version of LEED for Existing Buildings: O&M, the LEED Recertification program will allow projects to easily maintain, improve and have their ongoing commitment to green building and operations verified.

Session 3  - 11/8 - LEED 251: Strategies for Success in LEED: Water Use Reduction (WEp1)
Water efficiency conserves both water and energy – generating benefits both for the environment and the bottom line. Determining water use reduction requires calculating an accurate baseline and reductions through efficiency strategies. Project teams often get tripped up on these calculations in LEED. Walk through calculations, issues and lessons learned from some typical and atypical scenarios. Register for this session to find a clear path for success in achieving LEED Water Efficiency Prerequisite 1 for design, construction and operations.

Session 4 -  11/15 -  LEED 262: Success with Campus and Multiple Building Certification
What if you could streamline the certification and documentation process, cut back on incremental LEED costs, and find clarity and a definitive path when working on a multiple building project?

The On-Campus and Multiple Building Certification Program is a LEED certification program designed to help project teams easily and efficiently certify multiple projects located on one site, under the control of one entity. This program fits any organization certifying a number of projects on the same site or whose project scope includes part or all of an entire campus.

Campus Guidance provides a holistic, sustainable approach to project management and addresses the unique challenges and opportunities inherent in campus projects. Project teams can document a credit once for the entire campus through shared credits to capture economies of scale in the certification process. Implement Campus Guidance for your multiple building LEED projects and streamline your certification and documentation process saving time and money.
