Session 4 Description - LEED Innovation & Pilot Credits: Demand Response: Approximately one third of the power grid load is attributable to the building community. Reducing dependency on fossil fuel peak generation address our electric grid infrastructure and reliability needs, acts as a balancing agent for renewable generation and enables the achievement of environmental goals for both the energy and building sectors. Join representatives from USGBC, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories and Environmental Defense Fund as we explore the benefits, barriers and opportunities to demand response in commercial buildings.
