Join staff from the Academy for Global Citizenship (AGC) and representatives from the Illinois Green Alliance in a virtual workshop that offers suggestions and resources to help you create an action plan for integrating sustainability and wellness into your classroom or school community. AGC Sustainability Coordinator Glenda Gonzalez and Wellness teacher Bryan Soto led a session for teachers and school leaders sharing best practices for introducing students to the concepts of sustainability and wellness at an early age and making sure those ideas live on throughout the academic program and building operations. The workshop gave an overview of how AGC:

1. Connects classroom units and practices to global topics,

2. Ensures our building operations reflect our sustainable mission and vision and

3. Provides wellness instruction to all students in addition to a typical PE program.

PD hours are not available for the recorded presentation.
