The Illinois Chapter has purchased a subscription to offer USGBC's archived webinars in group settings in order to offer LEED Specific credential maintenance opportunities to our members. The third Friday of each month, you will have the opportunity to earn 1.5 GBCI CE hours at one of these in-person webinar viewings.

Session Description:
The affordable housing market is has become a leader in the green building industry. High performance homes that support a green lifestyle and offer healthy environments are in harmony with the most fundamental of affordable housing objectives. You can learn the drivers, challenges and outcomes directly from teams who are implementing green strategies in affordable housing projects.

This webinar will explore the key factors driving green decision making in affordable housing projects. Through real world green and LEED certified projects, we will discuss the challenges and outcomes of incorporating high performance, green measures and alternative energy systems into the host of affordable housing priorities and constraints. The discussion will include the entire scope of affordable housing, from financing and planning, to design and construction, and ultimately into occupancy.
