(Approved for 1.5 GBCI CE and AIA LU|HSW|SD hours)

Northwest Community Hospital’s South Pavilion represents a technologically advanced, environmentally friendly and patient-centered patient care environment.  With an overall goal of redefining ‘community hospital’, NCH approached this project as a tangible expression of their social responsibility.  The building creates a healthy space for everyone who visits and works in it; promotes the health and well-being of its community; conserves natural resources; and helps sustain the people, animals and plants that share this planet.

The program will feature presentations by Architect Cannon Design, Northwest Community Hospital and Power Construction including a very special presentation of NCH's LEED Gold Plaque.  Discussion will feature all stages from preplanning to occupancy and the relevant topics and processes that went into achieving the LEED Gold status, including:

Overall strategy and relationship to the hospital’s goals and mission
  Site and landscape
  Exterior and interior design
  MEP systems design
LEED initiative initial costs and operational savings
