Want to know more about how you can use the very foundations supporting a building to also deliver a low carbon heating and cooling solution.

Illinois Green is happy to share the Deep Foundations Institute's upcoming seminar at the University of Illinois, Chicago on September 18th. We have brought together some world leading experts for this informative seminar.

This NEW seminar will set out good practice guidelines for designing and installing a ground sourced heat pump solution that uses geothermal loops installed within energy foundations and structures. It will discuss the importance and benefits of long term management and operation of such a system to ensure that the system delivers the designed heating and/or cooling loads and can be optimized to enhance returns on investment to make a project more attractive.

Some highlights are:

  • use of Ground Source Heat Pump Association (GSHP) document for design,
  • energy foundations applications
  • bridge deck deicing opportunities
  • research results
  • GSHP mechanical systems
  • good working practice
WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The DFI Energy Foundations Committee invites all local developers, facility managers of hospitals, educational facilities, local government representatives, architects, and consultants (geotechnical, structural, mechanical and electrical).
