The City of Chicago, along with nonprofit partners, are hosting free benchmarking workshops about how to comply with the Energy Benchmarking & Transparency Ordinance throughout the spring to help building owners and managers learn about the benchmarking requirements and assist with compliance questions.

The workshop will provide an overview of the ordinance goals and requirements along with hands-on instruction on setting up your building(s) in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and information on how to gather and enter building energy consumption into the tool.

ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is a free online tool that requires a computer to utilize so please bring your own laptop to the workshop, if possible. All levels of knowledge and experience with benchmarking and energy management are welcome!

For more information on the energy and water benchmarking ordinance please visit: www.cityofchicago.org/energybenchmarking
