The Illinois Chapter has purchased a subscription to offer USGBC's archived webinars in group settings in order to offer LEED Specific credential maintenance opportunities to our members. One friday each month, you will have the opportunity to earn 1.5 BD+C LEED Specific hours at one of these in-person webinar viewings.

We are offering session packages for Chapter Members only. You can purchase a 5-pack or 10-pack for this series. If you purchase the 5-pack, you will receive an email from Chapter staff w/ a registration code to use on any 5 sessions.

The first session is BD+C 252: Sustainable Sites on March 18, 2011.

Session 1 Description - BD+C 252 - Sustainable Sites: This session explores the LEED Sustainable Sites category in a credit by credit format, reviewing the overall category intent and the individual intents of the prerequisites and credits within it. Learn the technical requirements of the credits and, through real-world case examples shared by USGBC LEED Faculty, strategies that work to achieve them.

Session 1 Learning Objectives
  • Identify Sustainable Sites prerequisite and credit intents and requirements for LEED for New Construction 2009
  • Recognize potential strategies and relevant team members for achieving Sustainable Sites credits
  • Describe key Sustainable Sites metrics and standards
  • Understand basic documentation considerations for Sustainable Sites
  • Describe examples of Regional Priority credits related to Sustainable Sites
  • Recognize tools and resources for applying Sustainable Sites credits to building projects
