Join the USGBC - Illinois Chapter, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, Farr Associates and the Congress for the New Urbanism for a roundtable program on how to achieve sustainable communities for state and local government representatives.

Building a Sustainable Community will help municipal leaders and their teams better understand smart urban planning and smart growth, how LEED for Neighborhood Development (ND) is one road map to accomplishing these goals and  how GO TO 2040 can help communities in their planning for a greener, livable tomorrow.

Program attendees will learn key principles of smart urban planning; the goals and point system that constitute LEED Neighborhood Development rating system; and the specific goals and elements of the GO TO 2040 seven county regional plan. Two LEED-ND case studies will also be featured.
