Join the USGBC - Illinois Chapter's Central Illinois Branch for a case study and tour of the LEED Platinum Erin's Pavilion in Springfield!

Erin's Pavilion is a LEED® Platinum Certified building under the LEED-NC 2.2 Rating System. It is located in the Edwin Watts Southwind Park, Springfield, Illinois' newest park. A presentation will be given highlighting many of the sustainable and energy efficient concepts integrated into the design and construction of the facility followed by a question and answer session and a tour of the building.

After attending the program, attendees will be able to:

  • Define the sustainable strategies employed in the project and the related LEED credits.
  • Identify how this project is a model for community facility construction. 
  • Describe the benefits associated in implementing sustainable strategies on a park project. 
  • Identify some of the challenges that are encountered when designing and constructing a LEED certified building in central Illinois.
