A third of the food raised or prepared does not make it from farm or factory to fork - and the food we waste is responsible for roughly 8 percent of global emissions.

Join USGBC-Illinois' at our next Drink Up & Drawdown (Carbon) event to learn about the link between reduced food waste and emissions reductions.

Join Jenny Carney (YR&G) and Ryan Tinus (Tishman Speyer) for a fun exchange on the carbon impact of reducing food waste and what you can do at home, work and in your community to to implement and impact this carbon drawdown strategy.*

We'll give you some resources to remember key points of the food waste reduction strategy for your future reference and we'll have a great time networking!

5:30 - 6:00 PM Welcome & Networking

6:00 - 6:20(ish) PM Food Waste & Carbon Discussion

*Carbon drawdown strategies are "no regrets" solutions/actions that make sense to take regardless of their climate value since they have intrinsic benefits to communities and economies.
