Join us for our monthly networking event, Drink up & Drawdown.  Each networking event will feature an awesome 15-minute(ish) discussion on a featured Carbon Drawdown strategy - "no regrets" solutions/actions that make sense to take regardless of their climate value since they have intrinsic benefits to communities and economies.

In September, we will focus on Rooftop Solar/Community Solar. The Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) has made community solar possible in Illinois for the first time. This allows those who can’t or don’t want to install solar panels on their roof – like home renters, apartment dwellers or those who don't have access to sun – to “subscribe” to a solar project at a local church, school, or business.

Join past board chair, Joseph Clair (dbHMS) as he leads a discussion with Deborah Stone (Cook County) and Lisa Albrecht (Illinois Solar Energy Association) on the impact this policy has on solar possibilities in the region.

We'll give you some resources to remember key points of the strategy for your future reference and then we'll have a great time networking! We hope you'll join us to learn more about this carbon drawdown strategy and how you can get involved in Illinois!

Thank you to our event sponsors!
