Join USGBC-Illinois and AIA Chicago for the Chicago Thrives! Resilience Symposium on April 20 in Chicago!

Resilient design is emerging as the design challenge of our age. In addition to carbon reduction strategies, practitioners must re-imagine our built environment and social fabric in a way that is adaptable to sudden and abrupt changes, be they natural disasters or chronic stresses such as endemic crime and poverty.

The Chicago Thrives! Resilience Symposium will provide an opportunity for multiple disciplines in our region to meet and exchange ideas and best practices through lecture, panel discussion, and interactive workshops.
Welcome remarks: Congressman Bill Foster, 11th District of Illinois Opening remarks: Aaron Koch, Chief Resilience Officer, City of Chicago
