Join the USGBC-Illinois Programs Committee to learn about Chicago’s transit oriented development (TOD) ordinance and how our speakers have been able to utilize TOD features in their mixed-use development projects.

Moderator, Tony Manno, a Senior Planner at CMAP, will set the stage discussing the ordinance and its changes, as well as how public organizations encounter TOD in their work.  Panelists include Mary Ellen Martin Executive Vice President and COO of Morningside Group, John Bucksbaum CEO and founder of Bucksbaum Retail Properties, LLC, and Tom Samuels, Principal and founder of Thomas Samuels Enterprises.  The panelists will discuss project development specifics, features, and challenges concerning how location to mass transit can reinforce the resilient urban ecology for our region.
